Forage Blower From the intake to the rotor, the 860 blower moves silage with efficiency and capacity. |
Overrunning clutch on PTOPaired with high torque rating PTO shaft, the overrunning clutch protects the blower drive components and the tractor from variations in the load. |
Reversable blower band & 8 paddlesThe blower band is fabricated in two sections. The ‘wear’ section, between the entry into the fan and the silage ejection point, is made of Hardox 450. This section is reversible to ensure excellent durability.
The 60 in rotor contains 8 paddles providing a smooth operation and large flow. Made of heat-treated steel, they extremely abrasion resistant. |
Robust driveThe feeding auger is driven by 2 pair of 5VX belts (cogged belts) capable of transmitting all the required power. All pullies are cast iron, double belted and double bearing mounted for unmatched longevity. The large 2” diameter auger shaft is supported by premium cast iron, NTN, flange bearings. |
Hydraulic wheel adjustmentIndependent cylinders lift both wheels without effort. Travel between & set up at the silo has never been so easy. Wheels and tires are mounted on heavy-duty cast iron hubs, equipped with conical wheel bearings ensuring exceptional reliability. |
Largest intake table on the marketThe rotor capacity means nothing if it’s not fed properly. Dion forage blowers offer an oversized intake table capable or accepting high throughputs without bridging or clogging. The 14" diameter augers easily outperforms the competition. Ergonomic and safe The auger engagement system is simple and a safe. Hinged guards provide easy access for maintenance and adjustments PTO shearbolts are stored on the driveshaft guard for handy access |
Water intakeTwo water intakes are standard equipment on the 860 blowers. They provide lubrication to the rotor band and auger to prevent debris adhesion, accumulation and also reduce power requirement and wear. |
The Dion advantage The 860 provides the following benefits over the competition:
